Ayelet needs help
Ayelet Galena...
Her name is taken from the "morning star" - what a beautiful name. Ayelet is just one year old and needs help in a big way.
Here is a message from Ayelet's parents who can explain her need best:
"Ayelet, our lovable one year old daughter, was recently diagnosed with a rare bone marrow failure disorder and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. We are in the search for a perfect match and need your help."
Ayelet Galena Update - AUGUST 31, 2011 "Ayelet, our lovable one year old daughter, recently received a bone marrow transplant thanks to the work of Gift of Life and donors. You can stay posted on Ayelet's progress on her Facebook fan page.
There are still many people out there in search of a match and there are many cheek swabs that have already been collected and are awaiting the funds necessary to enable processing.
The donors recruited on Ayelet's behalf will make matches possible for many years to come for other patients in similar circumstances, and we are proud of each and every person who got swabbed and who made financial contributions to pay for testing. May this be the beginning of good health for Ayelet and all those in need of healing....." Hindy and Seth Galena

Angelman Syndrome is a condition in children that is characterized by developmental delay and other symptoms. The actor Colin Farrell was recently on the Late Show with David Letterman and mentioned that his son, James, has this condition which is fairly rare and affects one in 30,000 children.
